W 8'-2" x L 10'Hand knotted of Kurk wool; Persian knot employed, extremely high thread count.This carpet was designed and constructed by master carpet weavers from the India. This stye of weaving originated in Persia by master weaver Haji Jalili in Tabriz who is world renowned for his carpet designs and production. This piece is distinguished by a floral motif in the center that is extrapolated throughout in similar dimensions, rendering it stunningly attractive. The process of stylizing and preserving the form of such textiles require a deep knowledge of craft as transmitted via oral tradition through centuries.
High density knotting (256 knots per inch and above) produces a clarity of shape and continuity of color not achievable otherwise.
