Description
The Kali Sanctuary rug is a hand-knotted modern rug designed by architect Fida Nehme for NOA Living. It belongs to our Meditative Collection. At first glance, it offers a crystal-like pointillist lattice.
The Kali Design
Kali’s precise, pointillist pattern resembles the faceted surface of crystals. It grows delicately into a lattice that covers the rug. In addition, silk adds a subtle touch of elegance.
Inside the Sanctuary Colorway
Sanctuary gives the crystal lattice a calm, restful palette. As its name suggests, it creates a peaceful retreat.
How the Kali Sanctuary Rug Is Made
Our weavers knot every Kali rug by hand using the Tibetan knot. We make it from virgin New Zealand worsted wool and natural Mulberry silk. In addition, we knot at a high density of 121 knots per square inch and above. As a result, every shape stays crisp and every color flows without a break. Lower knot counts of 80 and below simply cannot match that clarity.
We believe in slow fashion. In other words, we make pieces well, with long-lasting materials, so you can choose them with the future in mind. That is why we call our carpets modern heirlooms, meant to last for generations.
Living with Your Kali Rug
Its fine texture belongs in refined spaces, such as a dining room or a primary bedroom. Need a different size or palette? We can also create a custom carpet made to your exact measurements.
